Beginnings.

A very close friend and dear brother of mine once told me there is much benefit in keeping a journal; not liking my own handwriting I chose to make a blog instead. So with that said, I’ll say a little about myself: Currently I’m an undergraduate student and a religious studies major.  I’m Muslim, but that’s not to say I don’t respect other religions;  I think everyone has their own path to God.  I am very interested in Sufism; I believe that a religion lacking a spiritual dimension seems hollow and incomplete.  I hope to go on and become a scholar, professor, and author on religion, but that’s really up to God to decide.  I really want to teach the next generation about the values and benefits of keeping awareness of God in their lives; in the ever modernizing world it is easy to become distracted from God and religion and consumed by the worship of other things, and I don’t wish that fate upon the future generations.  With that said, welcome to my blog and peace be with you.
